We woke up to another beautiful morning and as a (British) Mother’s Day treat, Rory and O made yummy pancakes (from O’s carefully cultivated yeast) and presented me with a little gift certificate for a pedicure at my favourite Ten over Ten. Afterwards, we all got ready and headed to Park Slope for a stroll and to have brunch and a catch up with Isabel, Zach and Azai and meet the latest addition to the family, baby Raef. We enjoyed a delicious brunch and Azai and Rory played beautifully together. We strolled home and stopped at the brilliant Ladybird Bakery for a Brooklyn Blackout cupcake. Rory didn’t want to leave the sunny bench outside. Once home, we skyped with Granny M and Grandma for Mother’s Day. I feel like it’s always a treat to chat with my mummy, but extra special on this special day when I get to tell her how lucky I feel to have such a wonderful role model and best friend. Happy Mother’s Day Ma. Love you.
