O and I have been planning and doing a little project in our bedroom. We decided that we needed some clever storage that uses the height of our big ceilings to house our expansive book collection and a few of my everyday clothes. We love the Vitsoe system but couldn’t quite justify the price for this particular project, so decided to go with a good lookalike from good old Ikea (we’ll save the Dieter Rams version for our forever family house). It works perfectly. We added a lovely Tom Dixon oak bench which we softened with a sheepskin throw. We hung a low pendant bulb lamp over the bench which we decorated with the beautiful and romantic Habitat garland light, which casts beautiful shadows on the wall. We finished the nook with a yummy smelling mason jar candle and hung my Valentine’s wooden heart picture frame on the wall. A pretty, practical use of bedroom space I think.
