Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! Rory and I spent yesterday afternoon decorating the apartment with a few Valentine touches such as a giant pink tissue heart hanging from our beam and some wooden hearts spelling out our family initials, wrapping gifts and making cards. It was lovely to wake up to. In the morning we indulged in some family in bed action, with Rory brining in gifts for everyone. I got O this lovely print, these sweet British pencils and this beautiful wooden heart picture frame. Rory enjoyed his little Valentine sticker book treat. O got me these great mugs and this book which I can’t wait to read. O made a yummy breakfast, complete with heart shaped toast. Later on, Rory and I joined Marji, Gray, Jennifer and Saffron at Mel and Mia’s for a spot of Valentine’s cake pop decorating. The idea was to make something for their daddy. In reality the babies just enjoyed eating them, oh well. In the afternoon I did a spot of food preparation for a romantic meal with O. I’m making a roast dinner with a few romantic twists, like heart shaped roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese served in heart ramekins. Of course Valentine’s wouldn’t be Valentine’s without chocolate, so I’ve treated us to these chocolate cupcakes with neon pink sprinkles for dessert. Hope you’re having a wonderful love filled day. x
