Yesterday was Rory’s first birthday party and what a wonderful party it was. We held it at Pomme, a beautiful children’s shop at the end of our road which has an event space where Rory and I do music each week. The exposed brick and beautiful oak beams were a wonderful backdrop for me to work with. I decided to go with a white, grey and duck egg blue color scheme and serve an afternoon tea party since it was 2:30 – 4:30. With Ella Fitzgerald playing on the iPod and Jo Malone candles creating a beautiful Orange Blossom scent, the atmosphere was already warming up nicely, ready for our 30 adult guests and 11 one year olds. All of the preparation finally came together to create some wonderful memories that we were lucky enough to get on camera by the talented Rue. But obviously a party is only as good as the sum of it’s guests and we were blown away by all of the love and generosity that our beautiful friends provided us with. A very special day was made all the more special thanks to our wonderful friends. Thank you.
