We’re trying to introduce the family to the local area so today we all descended upon the beautiful area of Brooklyn Heights. After a stroll along the promenade we went to the Brooklyn Historical Society and explored a few of the local exhibitions all about the local area. We also managed to pick up a book about the history of our new neighbourhood, DUMBO. We then walked home via Montague Street and had a look in a few of the shops, including one of my favourites; Design Within Reach. On the way home we stopped off for a cone of Jacques Torres salted caramel ice cream as a delicious treat. A lovely day out.
