Freemans

Today I gathered all of our lovely NYC friends for a surprise birthday brunch for O. I opted for his favourite Manhattan restaurant, the very cool Freemans. Located at the end of cute ‘Freeman Alley’, you’re greeted by stylish string bulb lights and tucked away at the end is the restaurant. Inside it’s very cosy and cool, the wood panelling is decorated in moody grey colours (think Farrow and Ball) and there is stylish taxidermy everywhere. As there were so many of us we were lucky to have our own private room upstairs. Sat on two large trestle tables we indulged in mimosas and bloody Marys, Freeman’s famous artichoke dip and delicious mains such as a pulled pork sandwich, mac ‘n’ cheese and bacon and eggs served in a skillet. All very delicious, but mostly it was a great day to catch up with our beautiful friends.
